28  And Haran died before his father Terah in the land of his nativity, in Ur of the ^aChaldees.

  2  And the Lord sent against him bands of the ^bChaldees, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by his servants the prophets.

  30  Accordingly a famine prevailed throughout all the land of Chaldea, and my father was sorely tormented because of the famine, and he repented of the evil which he had determined against me, to take away my life.
