2  Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build an house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and for the ^bfootstool of our God, and had made ready for the building:

  39  He ruleth high in the heavens, for it is his throne, and this earth is his ^afootstool.

  17  And I have made the earth rich, and behold it is my ^afootstool, wherefore, again I will stand upon it.

  7  For I am the Lord thy God; I dwell in heaven; the earth is my ^bfootstool; I stretch my hand over the sea, and it obeys my voice; I cause the wind and the fire to be my chariot; I say to the mountains—Depart hence—and behold, they are taken away by a whirlwind, in an instant, suddenly.
