3  The ^apride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high; that saith in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?

  33  Behold, the Lord, the Lord of Hosts shall lop the bough with terror; and the ^ahigh ones of stature shall be hewn down; and the haughty shall be humbled.

  42  He that ^aexalteth himself shall be abased, and he that abaseth himself shall be exalted.

  17  Charge them that are ^arich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

  42  And whoso knocketh, to him will he open; and the wise, and the learned, and they that are rich, who are puffed up because of their learning, and their wisdom, and their riches—yea, they are they whom he despiseth; and save they shall cast these things away, and consider themselves fools before God, and come down in the depths of humility, he will not open unto them.

  12  And the people began to be distinguished by ranks, according to their ^ariches and their chances for learning; yea, some were ignorant because of their poverty, and others did receive great learning because of their riches.

  12  Hath oppressed the ^apoor and needy, hath spoiled by violence, hath not restored the pledge, and hath lifted up his eyes to the idols, hath committed abomination,

  10  And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the ^bpoor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.

  30  And behold, thou wilt remember the ^apoor, and consecrate of thy properties for their support that which thou hast to impart unto them, with a covenant and a deed which cannot be broken.

  14  The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people and the princes thereof; for ye have eaten up the vineyard and the spoil of the ^cpoor in your houses.

  13  They rob the ^bpoor because of their fine sanctuaries; they rob the poor because of their fine clothing; and they persecute the meek and the poor in heart, because in their pride they are puffed up.

  6  And the storehouse shall be kept by the consecrations of the church; and widows and orphans shall be provided for, as also the ^bpoor. Amen.
