11  For all flesh is corrupted before me; and the powers of ^bdarkness prevail upon the earth, among the children of men, in the presence of all the hosts of heaven—

  23  Verily, verily, I say unto you, ^adarkness covereth the earth, and gross darkness the minds of the people, and all flesh has become corrupt before my face.

  61  And the day shall come that the earth shall rest, but before that day the heavens shall be ^bdarkened, and a veil of darkness shall cover the earth; and the heavens shall shake, and also the earth; and great tribulations shall be among the children of men, but my people will I preserve;

  23  Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor ^adivine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

  9  And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the ^asun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

  17  But I did remain among them, but I was forbidden to ^apreach unto them, because of the hardness of their hearts; and because of the hardness of their hearts the land was cursed for their sake.

  16  Now I say unto thee: Go, and remember the captivity of thy fathers in the land of Helam, and in the land of Nephi; and remember how great things he has done for them; for they were in bondage, and he has delivered them. And now I say unto thee, Alma, go thy way, and seek to destroy the church no more, that their prayers may be answered, and this even if thou wilt of thyself be ^ecast off.
