3  And David dwelt with Achish at Gath, he and his men, every man with his household, even David with his two awives, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail the Carmelitess, Nabal's wife.

2  So David went up thither, and his two awives also, Ahinoam the Jezreelitess, and Abigail Nabal's wife the Carmelite.

3  And David took more awives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.

24  Behold, David and Solomon truly had many bwives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord.

8  And I gave thee thy master's house, and thy master's wives into thy bosom, and gave thee the house of Israel and of Judah; and if that had been too little, I would moreover have given unto thee such and such things.

27  And when the mourning was past, David sent and fetched her to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done bdispleased the Lord.

4  And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he alay with her; for she was purified from her uncleanness: and she returned unto her house.

9  Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in his sight? thou hast killed cUriah the Hittite with the sword, and hast taken his wife to be thy wife, and hast slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon.

5  Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of cUriah the Hittite.

41  aUriah the Hittite, Zabad the son of Ahlai,

39  Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by acasting it to the ground.

10  Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall inherit them: for every one from the least even unto the greatest is given to covetousness, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
