31  And awake, and arise from the dust, O Jerusalem; yea, and put on thy beautiful garments, O daughter of Zion; and ^cstrengthen thy stakes and enlarge thy borders forever, that thou mayest no more be confounded, that the covenants of the Eternal Father which he hath made unto thee, O house of Israel, may be fulfilled.

  13  For I have consecrated the land of Kirtland in mine own due time for the benefit of the saints of the Most High, and for a ^astake to Zion.

  1  Behold, I say unto you, here is wisdom, whereby ye may know how to act concerning this matter, for it is expedient in me that this ^astake that I have set for the strength of Zion should be made strong.

  59  We ask thee to appoint unto Zion other ^astakes besides this one which thou hast appointed, that the gathering of thy people may roll on in great power and majesty, that thy work may be cut short in righteousness.

  9  And behold, and lo, this shall be their cry, and the voice of the Lord unto all people: Go ye forth unto the land of Zion, that the borders of my people may be enlarged, and that her ^astakes may be strengthened, and that Zion may go forth unto the regions round about.
