17  And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall ^dflee when none pursueth you.

  1  I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that ^bfleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.

  40  O, my beloved brethren, give ear to my words. Remember the greatness of the Holy One of Israel. Do not say that I have spoken hard things against you; for if ye do, ye will revile against the truth; for I have spoken the words of your Maker. I know that the words of truth are hard against all uncleanness; but the ^erighteous fear them not, for they love the truth and are not shaken.
