9  And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the ^ctree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

  11  And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the ^afruit thereof; and I beheld that it was most sweet, above all that I ever before tasted. Yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white, to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen.

  15  And to bring about his eternal purposes in the end of man, after he had created our first parents, and the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and in fine, all things which are created, it must needs be that there was an opposition; even the forbidden fruit in opposition to the ^gtree of life; the one being sweet and the other bitter.

  12  And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was ^cdesirable above all other fruit.

  8  And now my sons, behold I have somewhat more to desire of you, which desire is, that ye may not do these things that ye may boast, but that ye may do these things to lay up for yourselves a treasure in heaven, yea, which is eternal, and which fadeth not away; yea, that ye may have that ^bprecious gift of eternal life, which we have reason to suppose hath been given to our fathers.

  7  And, if you keep my commandments and endure to the end you shall have eternal life, which gift is the greatest of all the gifts of God.

  6  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree ^cto be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

  27  An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the ^awicked.
