2 Nephi 9:28
28 O that cunning aplan of the evil one! O the bvainness, and the frailties, and the cfoolishness of men! When they are dlearned they think they are ewise, and they fhearken not unto the gcounsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their hwisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish.

13  And thus we see how great the inequality of man is because of sin and transgression, and the power of the devil, which comes by the cunning cplans which he hath devised to ensnare the hearts of men.

12  For avain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.

9  And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the apride and stoutness of heart,

5  The afool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh.

12  The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a bfool will swallow up himself.

17  Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows; for every one of them is a hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh efolly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

7  And it shall come to pass that there shall be a great work in the land, even among the Gentiles, for their bfolly and their abominations shall be made manifest in the eyes of all people.

15  And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among dmen is abomination in the sight of God.

20  And the Gentiles are lifted up in the pride of their eyes, and have stumbled, because of the greatness of their stumbling block, that they have built up many churches; nevertheless, they put down the power and miracles of God, and preach up unto themselves their own wisdom and their own flearning, that they may get gain and grind upon the face of the poor.

4  And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their alearning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance.
