3 Nephi 24:5  
 5 And I will come anear to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the bsorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false cswearers, and against those that doppress the hireling in his wages, the widow and the efatherless, and that turn aside the fstranger, and fear not me, saith the Lord of Hosts.

  7  And he said unto me, Son of man, the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel for ever, and my holy name, shall the house of Israel no more defile, neither they, nor their kings, by their whoredom, nor by the carcases of their kings in their high places.

  4  They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a acovenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field.

  5  For I, the Lord, have decreed in my heart, that inasmuch as any man belonging to the order shall be found a transgressor, or, in other words, shall break the acovenant with which ye are bound, he shall be cursed in his life, and shall be trodden down by whom I will;

  6  They aslay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.

  14  Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the afatherless.

  5  A father of the afatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

  27  Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the cfatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

  8  Let each company bear an equal proportion, according to the dividend of their property, in taking the poor, the widows, the fatherless, and the families of those who have gone into the army, that the cries of the widow and the dfatherless come not up into the ears of the Lord against this people.
