28  And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a ^dprince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

  4  For the Lord hath chosen ^aJacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.

  24  But before the great day of the Lord shall come, ^aJacob shall flourish in the wilderness, and the Lamanites shall blossom as the rose.

  3  He hath remembered his ^amercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

  2  Saying: I, the Lord, will make known unto you what I will that ye shall do from this time until the next conference, which shall be held in Missouri, upon the land which I will consecrate unto my people, which are a ^cremnant of Jacob, and those who are heirs according to the covenant.
