Alma 34:28  
 28 And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye aturn away the bneedy, and the cnaked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and dimpart of your substance, if ye have, to those who stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your eprayer is fvain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as ghypocrites who do deny the faith.

  7  And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the bnaked with a garment;

  31  And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their bmouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness.

  8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their cheart is far from me.

  3  aWherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

  6  For behold, God hath said a man being evil cannot do that which is good; for if he offereth a gift, or cprayeth unto God, except he shall do it with real intent it profiteth him nothing.
