28  But when Moronihah had discovered this, he immediately sent forth Lehi with an army round about to ^ahead them before they should come to the land Bountiful.

  17  And it came to pass that when he had poured out his soul to God, he named all the land which was south of the land ^bDesolation, yea, and in fine, all the land, both on the north and on the south—A chosen land, and the land of liberty.

  5  And it came to pass that I did cause my people that they should gather themselves together at the land ^aDesolation, to a city which was in the borders, by the narrow pass which led into the land southward.

  30  And it bordered upon the land which they called ^aDesolation, it being so far northward that it came into the land which had been peopled and been destroyed, of whose bones we have spoken, which was discovered by the people of Zarahemla, it being the place of their first landing.

  32  And now, it was only the distance of a day and a half's journey for a Nephite, on the line Bountiful and the land Desolation, from the east to the west sea; and thus the land of Nephi and the land of Zarahemla were nearly surrounded by water, there being a small ^bneck of land between the land northward and the land southward.
