30  And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God ^cface to face, and my life is preserved.

  11  And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his ^dfriend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.

  8  With him will I speak ^bmouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

  7  And now I, Nephi, cannot say more; the Spirit stoppeth mine utterance, and I am left to mourn because of the unbelief, and the wickedness, and the ignorance, and the stiffneckedness of men; for they will not search knowledge, nor understand great knowledge, when it is given unto them in ^eplainness, even as plain as word can be.

  23  And they are made known unto us in ^aplain terms, that we may understand, that we cannot err; and this because of our being wanderers in a strange land; therefore, we are thus highly favored, for we have these glad tidings declared unto us in all parts of our vineyard.

  7  But behold, I proceed with mine own prophecy, according to my ^aplainness; in the which I know that no man can err; nevertheless, in the days that the prophecies of Isaiah shall be fulfilled men shall know of a surety, at the times when they shall come to pass.

  24  Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their ^blanguage, that they might come to understanding.

  63  And as I said unto mine apostles, even so I say unto you, for you are mine apostles, even God's high priests; ye are they whom my Father hath given me; ye are my ^cfriends;

  62  And again, verily I say unto you, my ^afriends, I leave these sayings with you to ponder in your hearts, with this commandment which I give unto you, that ye shall call upon me while I am near—
