12  And it came to pass that by so doing they kept them from being ^adestroyed upon the face of the land; for they did prick their hearts with the word, continually stirring them up unto repentance.

  16  Wo unto them that turn aside the just for a thing of naught and revile against that which is good, and say that it is of no worth! For the day shall come that the Lord God will speedily visit the inhabitants of the earth; and in that day that they are ^cfully ripe in iniquity they shall perish.

  37  And he ^araiseth up a righteous nation, and destroyeth the nations of the wicked.

  5  But, said he, notwithstanding our afflictions, we have obtained a land of promise, a land which is ^bchoice above all other lands; a land which the Lord God hath covenanted with me should be a land for the inheritance of my seed. Yea, the Lord hath covenanted this land unto me, and to my children forever, and also all those who should be led out of other countries by the hand of the Lord.
