13  For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his ^bsons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not.

  12  And thus Laman and Lemuel, being the eldest, did murmur against their father. And they did ^bmurmur because they knew not the dealings of that God who had created them.

  16  And Adam and Eve, his wife, ceased not to call upon God. And Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bare Cain, and said: I have gotten a man from the Lord; wherefore he may not reject his words. But behold, Cain ^bhearkened not, saying: Who is the Lord that I should know him?

  8  But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to ^bstumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the Lord of hosts.

  35  And it came to pass that the army which was sent by Moroni, which was led by a man whose name was Teancum, did meet the people of Morianton; and so stubborn were the people of Morianton, (being inspired by his wickedness and his ^aflattering words) that a battle commenced between them, in the which Teancum did slay Morianton and defeat his army, and took them prisoners, and returned to the camp of Moroni. And thus ended the twenty and fourth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi.

  7  But behold, Paanchi, and that part of the people that were desirous that he should be their governor, was exceedingly wroth; therefore, he was about to ^aflatter away those people to rise up in rebellion against their brethren.

  5  Therefore he did ^aflatter them, and also Kishkumen, that if they would place him in the judgment-seat he would grant unto those who belonged to his band that they should be placed in power and authority among the people; therefore Kishkumen sought to destroy Helaman.
