2  But who may ^aabide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

  1  And when the people complained, it displeased the Lord: and the Lord heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the ^bfire of the Lord burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.

  14  And their arm shall be my arm, and I will be their shield and their buckler; and I will gird up their loins, and they shall fight manfully for me; and their enemies shall be under their feet; and I will let fall the sword in their behalf, and by the ^efire of mine indignation will I preserve them.

  34  And the fire of mine indignation is kindled against them; and in my hot displeasure will I send in the floods upon them, for my fierce anger is kindled against them.

  3  The ^afining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the Lord trieth the hearts.

  9  And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will ^arefine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The Lord is my God.

  2  But who may abide the day of his coming, and who shall stand when he appeareth? For he is like a ^brefiner's fire, and like fuller's soap.

  8  At that time the Lord separated the tribe of ^bLevi, to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister unto him, and to bless in his name, unto this day.

  3  And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; and he shall purify the ^bsons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

  1  Upon you my fellow servants, in the name of Messiah I confer the Priesthood of Aaron, which holds the keys of the ministering of angels, and of the gospel of repentance, and of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; and this shall never be taken again from the earth, until the sons of Levi do offer again an offering unto the Lord in righteousness.

  39  Therefore, verily I say unto you, that your anointings, and your washings, and your baptisms for the dead, and your solemn assemblies, and your memorials for your ^esacrifices by the sons of Levi, and for your oracles in your most holy places wherein you receive conversations, and your statutes and judgments, for the beginning of the revelations and foundation of Zion, and for the glory, honor, and endowment of all her municipals, are ordained by the ordinance of my holy house, which my people are always commanded to build unto my holy name.
