19  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.

  8  They have ^aturned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

  23  Likewise when the Lord sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then ye ^arebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice.

  30  And notwithstanding they being led, the Lord their God, their Redeemer, going before them, leading them by day and giving light unto them by night, and doing all things for them which were expedient for man to receive, they hardened their hearts and blinded their minds, and ^creviled against Moses and against the true and living God.

  3  Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.

  19  Therefore, let not your hearts faint, for I say not unto you as I said unto your fathers: Mine angel shall go up before you, but not my ^bpresence.

  10  Now therefore let me alone, that my ^awrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

  23  Surely they shall not ^asee the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:

  11  So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my ^brest.)

  1  Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

  7  Wherefore we labored diligently among our people, that we might persuade them to come unto Christ, and partake of the goodness of God, that they might enter into his rest, lest by any means he should swear in his wrath they should not ^center in, as in the provocation in the days of temptation while the children of Israel were in the wilderness.

  9  And the Lord said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may ^bhear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the Lord.

  65  For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the ^awilderness. And there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.

  13  Remember the word which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, The Lord your God hath given you ^brest, and hath given you this land.

  25  For David said, The Lord God of Israel hath given ^arest unto his people, that they may dwell in Jerusalem for ever:

  10  Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your ^arest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

  3  And it shall come to pass in that day that the Lord shall give thee ^arest, from thy sorrow, and from thy fear, and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve.
