 39 And that awicked one cometh and btaketh away light and truth, through cdisobedience, from the children of men, and because of the dtradition of their fathers.

  19  When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and bcatcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

  9  And he became a great hinderment to the prosperity of the church of God; stealing away the hearts of the people; causing much dissension among the people; giving a chance for the enemy of God to exercise his bpower over them.

  10  And therefore, he that will harden his heart, the same receiveth the blesser portion of the word; and he that will not harden his heart, to him is given the greater portion of the word, until it is given unto him to know the mysteries of God until he know them in full.

  7  Behold, verily I say unto you, there are hypocrites among you, who have deceived some, which has given the adversary cpower; but behold such shall be reclaimed;

  50  And by this you may know they are under the abondage of sin, because they come not unto me.

  19  O Lord, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have binherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

  18  But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your afathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

  8  And this was done that their seed might be distinguished from the seed of their brethren, that thereby the Lord God might preserve his people, that they might not mix and believe in incorrect traditions which would prove their destruction.
