1 Samuel 2:30  
 30 Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the ahouse of thy father, should bwalk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that chonour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly desteemed.

  35  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is eaccepted with him.

  35  Behold, the Lord esteemeth all flesh in one; he that is righteous is cfavored of God. But behold, this people had rejected every word of God, and they were ripe in iniquity; and the fulness of the wrath of God was upon them; and the Lord did curse the land against them, and bless it unto our fathers; yea, he did curse it against them unto their destruction, and he did bless it unto our fathers unto their obtaining power over it.

  9  Therefore have I also made you acontemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law.
