12  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be ^elong upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

  17  And then the Lord's wrath be kindled against you, and he shut up the heaven, that there be no rain, and that the land yield not her fruit; and lest ye ^bperish quickly from off the good land which the Lord giveth you.

  16  For there are many promises which are extended to the Lamanites; for it is because of the traditions of their fathers that caused them to remain in their state of ignorance; therefore the Lord will be merciful unto them and ^dprolong their existence in the land.

  11  Yea, even if they should dwindle in unbelief the Lord shall ^aprolong their days, until the time shall come which hath been spoken of by our fathers, and also by the prophet Zenos, and many other prophets, concerning the restoration of our brethren, the Lamanites, again to the knowledge of the truth—

  33  And there are many that lie in wait to destroy thee from off the face of the earth; and for this cause, that thy days may be ^bprolonged, I have given unto thee these commandments.

  24  And Joseph said unto his brethren, I die: and God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to ^dAbraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

  10  And also with Joseph and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, your ^cfathers, by whom the promises remain;

  32  Behold, this is the law I gave unto my servant Nephi, and thy fathers, Joseph, and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, and all mine ancient prophets and apostles.
