Exodus 15:25  
 25 And he cried unto the Lord; and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the awaters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he bproved them,

  21  And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the Lord, I have healed these bwaters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land.

  2  And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to bprove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.

  14  Therefore, be not afraid of your enemies, for I have decreed in my heart, saith the Lord, that I will prove you in all things, whether you will abide in my covenant, even unto death, that you may be found worthy.

  55  And again, verily I say unto you, I command you again to build a house to my name, even in this place, that you may bprove yourselves unto me that ye are faithful in all things whatsoever I command you, that I may bless you, and crown you with honor, immortality, and eternal life.

  51  Verily, I say unto you: A commandment I give unto mine handmaid, Emma Smith, your wife, whom I have given unto you, that she stay herself and partake not of that which I commanded you to offer unto her; for I did it, saith the Lord, to aprove you all, as I did Abraham, and that I might require an offering at your hand, by covenant and sacrifice.

  25  And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them;
