4  From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.

  24  For he had ^adominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

  18  In the same day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from ^cthe river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

  24  And they said unto Joshua, Truly the Lord hath ^adelivered into our hands all the land; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us.

  35  Behold, the Lord esteemeth all flesh in one; he that is righteous is favored of God. But behold, this ^dpeople had rejected every word of God, and they were ripe in iniquity; and the fulness of the wrath of God was upon them; and the Lord did curse the land against them, and bless it unto our fathers; yea, he did curse it against them unto their destruction, and he did bless it unto our fathers unto their obtaining power over it.
