3  If he will ^acontend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.

  10  That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he ^acontend with him that is mightier than he.

  10  Wherefore, brethren, seek not to ^acounsel the Lord, but to take counsel from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy, over all his works.

  14  For Israel hath forgotten his ^aMaker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.

  16  Surely your turning of things upside down shall be esteemed as the potter's clay: for shall the ^awork say of him that made it, He made me not? or shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He had no understanding?

  8  But now, O Lord, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the ^bwork of thy hand.

  6  O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this ^apotter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.

  21  Hath not the ^apotter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

  6  Behold, they do not desire that the Lord their God, who hath ^acreated them, should rule and reign over them; notwithstanding his great goodness and his mercy towards them, they do set at naught his counsels, and they will not that he should be their guide.

  30  Who am I that ^amade man, saith the Lord, that will hold him guiltless that obeys not my commandments?
