8  And I will make this city ^adesolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof.

  16  For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a ^bdesolation, and the inhabitants thereof an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people.

  15  This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and ^awag his hand.
