1  Then went Boaz up to the ^agate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.

  10  And now, I desire to know the cause whereby ye were so bold as to come near the walls of the city, when I, myself, was with my guards without the ^bgate?

  2  And he took ten men of the ^aelders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.

  22  And he spake unto me concerning the elders of the Jews, he knowing that his master, Laban, had been out by night among them.

  16  And he selected a wise man who was among the elders of the church, and gave him power according to the voice of the people, that he might have power to enact laws according to the laws which had been given, and to put them in force according to the wickedness and the crimes of the people.

  7  And they were strict to observe that there should be no iniquity among them; and whoso was found to commit iniquity, and three witnesses of the church did condemn them before the ^celders, and if they repented not, and confessed not, their names were blotted out, and they were not numbered among the people of Christ.
