27  And when these days are expired, it shall be, that upon the ^aeighth day, and so forward, the priests shall make your burnt offerings upon the altar, and your peace offerings; and I will accept you, saith the Lord God.

  1  And now it came to pass that after Alma had made an end of speaking unto the people of the church, which was established in the city of Zarahemla, he ordained priests and elders, by laying on his hands according to the order of God, to preside and watch over the church.

  2  But notwithstanding those things which are written, it always has been given to the ^aelders of my church from the beginning, and ever shall be, to conduct all meetings as they are directed and guided by the Holy Spirit.
