Genesis 16:1  
Now Sarai Abram's wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an aEgyptian, whose name was bHagar.

  21  And he dwelt in the wilderness of Paran: and his mother took him a wife out of the land of bEgypt.

  22  From this descent sprang all the Egyptians, and thus the blood of the Canaanites was preserved in the land.

  21  And I, Abraham, journeyed, going on still towards the south; and there was a continuation of a famine in the land; and I, Abraham, concluded to go down into Egypt, to sojourn there, for the famine became very grievous.

  9  And Sarah saw the son of aHagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

  24  Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is bAgar.

  34  God commanded Abraham, and Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham to wife. And why did she do it? Because this was the law; and from Hagar sprang many people. This, therefore, was fulfilling, among other things, the promises.
