22  Thou shalt love thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt ^bcleave unto her and none else.

  15  And again, verily I say unto you, that whoso forbiddeth to marry is not ordained of God, for ^bmarriage is ordained of God unto man.

  24  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall ^acleave unto his wife; and they shall be one flesh.

  18  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife, and they shall be one flesh.

  24  Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor's.

  5  And now, Zerahemnah, I command you, in the name of that all-powerful God, who has strengthened our arms that we have gained power over you, by our faith, by our religion, and by our rites of worship, and by our church, and by the sacred support which we owe to our ^cwives and our children, by that liberty which binds us to our lands and our country; yea, and also by the maintenance of the sacred word of God, to which we owe all our happiness; and by all that is most dear unto us—

  21  Pray in your families unto the Father, always in my name, that your wives and your children may be blessed.

  35  Behold, ye have done greater iniquities than the Lamanites, our brethren. Ye have broken the hearts of your tender wives, and lost the confidence of your children, because of your bad examples before them; and the sobbings of their hearts ascend up to God against you. And because of the ^bstrictness of the word of God, which cometh down against you, many hearts died, pierced with deep wounds.
