28  Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and ^awalled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there.

  1  Hear, O Israel: Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thyself, cities great and ^bfenced up to heaven,

  20  But he had obtained his desires; for he had armed those prisoners of the Nephites who were within the wall of the city, and had given them power to gain possession of those parts which were within the walls.
