1  Then Solomon began to ^abuild the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount Moriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite.

  5  For verily this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it, which cloud shall be even the glory of the Lord, which shall fill the house.

  31  But I command you, all ye my saints, to ^abuild a house unto me; and I grant unto you a sufficient time to build a house unto me; and during this time your baptisms shall be acceptable unto me.

  5  And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the Lord my God, as the Lord spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an ^ahouse unto my name.

  17  Wherefore I, Jacob, gave unto them these words as I taught them in the ^atemple, having first obtained mine errand from the Lord.

  18  And now, it came to pass that Mosiah went and did as his father had commanded him, and proclaimed unto all the people who were in the land of Zarahemla that thereby they might gather themselves together, to go up to the ^atemple to hear the words which his father should speak unto them.

  17  And now, it came to pass on the morrow that king Limhi sent a proclamation among all his people, that thereby they might gather themselves together to the ^atemple, to hear the words which he should speak unto them.

  10  And he also caused that his workmen should work all manner of fine work within the walls of the ^atemple, of fine wood, and of copper, and of brass.

  13  And Alma and Amulek went forth preaching repentance to the people in their ^atemples, and in their sanctuaries, and also in their synagogues, which were built after the manner of the Jews.

  14  But behold, a hundredth part of the proceedings of this people, yea, the account of the Lamanites and of the Nephites, and their wars, and contentions, and dissensions, and their preaching, and their prophecies, and their shipping and their building of ships, and their building of ^btemples, and of synagogues and their sanctuaries, and their righteousness, and their wickedness, and their murders, and their robbings, and their plundering, and all manner of abominations and whoredoms, cannot be contained in this work.

  1  And now it came to pass that there were a great multitude gathered together, of the people of Nephi, round about the temple which was in the land Bountiful; and they were marveling and wondering one with another, and were showing one to another the great and marvelous change which had taken place.

  2  And the house which king ^bSolomon built for the Lord, the length thereof was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof twenty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits.

  17  And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, ^acostly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

  1  And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the ^bhouse of the Lord, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do,

  8  Likewise from Tibhath, and from Chun, cities of Hadarezer, brought David very much brass, wherewith ^aSolomon made the brasen sea, and the pillars, and the vessels of brass.

  4  And now we ask thee, Holy Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of thy bosom, in whose name alone salvation can be administered to the children of men, we ask thee, O Lord, to accept of this house, the ^bworkmanship of the hands of us, thy servants, which thou didst command us to build.
