27  So the ^aGods went down to organize man in their own image, in the image of the Gods to form they him, male and female to form they them.

  25  By the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, until thou shalt return unto the ground—for thou shalt surely die—for out of it wast thou taken: for ^cdust thou wast, and unto dust shalt thou return.

  2  Q. What are we to understand by the four beasts, spoken of in the same verse?

A. They are figurative expressions, used by the Revelator, John, in describing heaven, the paradise of God, the happiness of man, and of beasts, and of creeping things, and of the fowls of the air; that which is spiritual being in the likeness of that which is temporal; and that which is temporal in the likeness of that which is spiritual; the ^espirit of man in the likeness of his person, as also the spirit of the beast, and every other creature which God has created.

  33  For man is ^aspirit. The elements are eternal, and spirit and element, inseparably connected, receive a fulness of joy;

  26  And God said, Let ^aus make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
