19  God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

  18  That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

  10  Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest ^adeceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

  26  For he had said unto him in times before, that ^aif he would believe in him that he could show unto him all things—it should be shown unto him; therefore the Lord could not withhold anything from him, for he knew that the Lord could show him all things.
