7  Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ^bways.

  16  The man that ^awandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the congregation of the dead.

  6  All we like sheep have gone ^bastray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

  5  He sent messengers therefore unto ^aBalaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me:

  4  Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when ye came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against thee ^bBalaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse thee.

  14  But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of ^aBalaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.

  16  Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit ^atrespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.

  28  And now behold, my people, ye are a stiffnecked people; wherefore, I have spoken plainly unto you, that ye cannot misunderstand. And the words which I have spoken shall stand as a testimony against you; for they are sufficient to teach any man the ^dright way; for the right way is to believe in Christ and deny him not; for by denying him ye also deny the prophets and the law.
