17  And again, the hearts of the Jews unto the prophets, and the prophets unto the Jews; lest I come and smite the whole earth with a curse, and all flesh be consumed before me.

  47  The Prophet Elijah was to plant in the ^ahearts of the children the promises made to their fathers,

  6  And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and ^csmite the earth with a curse.

  15  To turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers, lest the whole earth be smitten with a curse—

  16  Therefore, renounce war and proclaim peace, and seek diligently to ^bturn the hearts of the children to their fathers, and the hearts of the fathers to the children;

  36  After telling me these things, he commenced quoting the prophecies of the Old Testament. He first quoted part of the ^athird chapter of ^aMalachi; and he quoted also the fourth or last chapter of the same prophecy, though with a little variation from the way it reads in our Bibles. Instead of quoting the first verse as it reads in our books, he quoted it thus:
