7  And there were many in the church who believed in the flattering words of Amalickiah, therefore they dissented even from the church; and thus were the affairs of the people of Nephi exceedingly precarious and dangerous, notwithstanding their great ^cvictory which they had had over the Lamanites, and their great rejoicings which they had had because of their deliverance by the hand of the Lord.

  28  And it came to pass that the Nephites began ^aagain to be victorious, and to reclaim their rights and their privileges.

  16  And it came to pass after they had taken them, they caused them to enter into a ^acovenant that they would no more take up their weapons of war against the Nephites.
