13  Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon ^cDavid from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

  12  Now ^aDavid was the son of that Ephrathite of Beth-lehem-judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.

  18  And there were three sons of Zeruiah there, Joab, and ^bAbishai, and Asahel: and Asahel was as light of foot as a wild roe.
