1  Forasmuch as ^bmany have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

  13  The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the ^abooks, but especially the parchments.

  43  Therefore say I unto you, The ^akingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

  4  And it came to pass that I saw among the nations of the Gentiles the formation of a ^bgreat church.

  10  And he said unto me: Behold there are save two churches only; the one is the church of the Lamb of God, and the ^bother is the church of the devil; wherefore, whoso belongeth not to the church of the Lamb of God belongeth to that great church, which is the mother of abominations; and she is the whore of all the earth.

  33  O ye wicked and perverse and stiffnecked people, why have ye built up churches unto yourselves to get gain? Why have ye ^ctransfigured the holy word of God, that ye might bring damnation upon your souls? Behold, look ye unto the revelations of God; for behold, the time cometh at that day when all these things must be fulfilled.

  41  And in a day when the children of men shall esteem my words as naught and ^btake many of them from the book which thou shalt write, behold, I will raise up another like unto thee; and they shall be had again among the children of men—among as many as shall believe.

  21  Behold, he shall see and write the remainder of these things; yea, and also many things which have been.

  8  We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated ^ccorrectly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
