34  I say unto you, that there are not any among you, except it be your little children that have not been taught concerning these things, but what knoweth that ye are eternally indebted to your heavenly Father, to render to him all that you have and are; and also have been taught concerning the ^crecords which contain the prophecies which have been spoken by the holy prophets, even down to the time our father, Lehi, left Jerusalem;

  3  For behold, Laban hath the record of the Jews and also a ^agenealogy of my forefathers, and they are engraven upon plates of brass.

  12  And he desired of Laban the records which were engraven upon the plates of brass, which contained the ^agenealogy of my father.

  1  Now behold, I, Jarom, write a few words according to the commandment of my father, Enos, that our ^agenealogy may be kept.

  4  For behold, thou art the fruit of my loins; and I am a descendant of ^aJoseph who was carried captive into Egypt. And great were the covenants of the Lord which he made unto Joseph.

  3  And Aminadi was a descendant of Nephi, who was the son of Lehi, who came out of the land of Jerusalem, who was a descendant of ^aManasseh, who was the son of Joseph who was sold into Egypt by the hands of his brethren.

  26  And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called ^cJacob: and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

  21  The remnant shall return, yea, even the remnant of Jacob, unto the mighty God.

  25  And may the Lord bless you, and keep your garments spotless, that ye may at last be brought to sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and the holy prophets who have been ever since the world began, having your garments spotless even as their garments are spotless, in the kingdom of heaven to go no more out.

  10  And also with Joseph and Jacob, and Isaac, and Abraham, your fathers, by whom the promises remain;

  36  And the Midianites ^asold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

  3  And these plates of brass, which contain these engravings, which have the records of the holy scriptures upon them, which have the ^bgenealogy of our forefathers, even from the beginning—

  2  Know ye that ye are of the ^ahouse of Israel.

  7  For he is a descendant of ^aJoseph and a partaker of the blessings of the promise made unto his fathers—
