20  And inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a ^bland of promise; yea, even a land which I have prepared for you; yea, a land which is choice above all other lands.

  4  And the city was broken up, and all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which is by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees were against the city round about:) and the king went the way toward the plain.

  8  And now I, Jacob, would speak somewhat concerning these words. For behold, the Lord has shown me that those who were at ^aJerusalem, from whence we came, have been slain and carried away captive.

  10  Wherefore, it hath been told them concerning the destruction which should come upon them, immediately after my father left ^aJerusalem; nevertheless, they hardened their hearts; and according to my prophecy they have been destroyed, save it be those which are carried away captive into Babylon.

  15  Behold, it came to pass that Mosiah discovered that the people of Zarahemla came out from Jerusalem at the time that Zedekiah, king of Judah, was carried away captive into Babylon.

  21  And now will you dispute that Jerusalem was destroyed? Will ye say that the sons of Zedekiah were not slain, all except it were Mulek? Yea, and do ye not behold that the seed of Zedekiah are with us, and they were driven out of the land of Jerusalem? But behold, this is not all—

  10  At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was ^abesieged.
