6  Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

  1  For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

  7  Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the ^eguilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

  12  The righteous man wisely considereth the house of the ^awicked: but God overthroweth the wicked for their wickedness.

  11  Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one that is ^aproud, and abase him.

  12  For the day of the Lord of Hosts soon cometh upon all nations, yea, upon every one; yea, upon the ^bproud and lofty, and upon every one who is lifted up, and he shall be brought low.

  24  For after today cometh the burning—this is speaking after the manner of the Lord—for verily I say, tomorrow all the ^bproud and they that do wickedly shall be as stubble; and I will burn them up, for I am the Lord of Hosts; and I will not spare any that remain in Babylon.
