25  And it came to pass that the king of the Lamanites made an ^aoath unto them, that his people should not slay them.

  24  And it came to pass that the king was pacified towards his people; and he said unto them: Let us go forth to meet my people, without arms; and I swear unto you with an ^aoath that my people shall not slay thy people.

  30  He giveth his cheek to him that smiteth him: he is filled full with reproach.

  2  Yea, wo be unto this generation! And the Lord said unto me: Stretch forth thy hand and prophesy, saying: Thus saith the Lord, it shall come to pass that this generation, because of their iniquities, shall be brought into bondage, and shall be smitten on the ^bcheek; yea, and shall be driven by men, and shall be slain; and the vultures of the air, and the dogs, yea, and the wild beasts, shall devour their flesh.

  11  Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their ^bburdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

  5  Yea, and I will cause that they shall have ^aburdens lashed upon their backs; and they shall be driven before like a dumb ass.
