2 Corinthians 11:3  
 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the aserpent bbeguiled Eve through his csubtilty, so your minds should be dcorrupted from the esimplicity that is in Christ.

  9  Be not acarried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

  14  But behold, the Jews were a stiffnecked people; and they despised the words of cplainness, and killed the prophets, and sought for things that they could not understand. Wherefore, because of their blindness, which blindness came by looking beyond the mark, they must needs fall; for God hath taken away his plainness from them, and delivered unto them many things which they cannot understand, because they desired it. And because they desired it God hath done it, that they may stumble.
