1  And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the ^bBeth-lehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

  2  But thou, ^aBeth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

  42  Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of ^cBethlehem, where David was?

  10  And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at ^bJerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.
