  13  And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall bafflict them four hundred years;

  6  And the aEgyptians evil entreated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard bondage:

  11  And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their bburdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.

  6  I removed his shoulder from the aburden: his hands were delivered from the pots.

  25  Now ye know that the children of Israel were in bondage; and ye know that they were laden with btasks, which were grievous to be borne; wherefore, ye know that it must needs be a good thing for them, that they should be brought out of bondage.

  10  For, behold, I have refined thee, I have chosen thee in the furnace of aaffliction.

  3  Now they durst not slay them, because of the oath which their king had made unto Limhi; but they would smite them on their cheeks, and exercise authority over them; and began to put heavy cburdens upon their backs, and drive them as they would a dumb ass—

  9  For Amulon knew Alma, that he had been one of the king's priests, and that it was he that believed the words of Abinadi and was driven out before the king, and therefore he was wroth with him; for he was subject to king Laman, yet he exercised authority over them, and put tasks upon them, and put task-masters over them.

  12  Marvellous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan.

  11  And Joseph placed his father and his brethren, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of aRameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
