Exodus 18:13  
 13 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses sat to ajudge the people: and the people stood by Moses from the morning unto the evening.

  25  And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand, set magistrates and ajudges, which may judge all the people that are beyond the river, all such as know the laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.

  11  Therefore I will be your king the remainder of my days; nevertheless, let us appoint bjudges, to judge this people according to our law; and we will newly arrange the affairs of this people, for we will appoint wise men to be judges, that will judge this people according to the commandments of God.

  4  And Amalickiah was desirous to be a king; and those people who were wroth were also desirous that he should be their king; and they were the greater part of them the lower judges of the land, and they were seeking for power.

  74  Thus shall he be a ajudge, even a common judge among the inhabitants of Zion, or in a stake of Zion, or in any branch of the church where he shall be set apart unto this ministry, until the borders of Zion are enlarged and it becomes necessary to have other bishops or judges in Zion or elsewhere.
