2  And there was found at Achmetha, in the palace that is in the province of the Medes, a ^aroll, and therein was a record thus written:

  2  Take thee a ^aroll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

  1  And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book ^awritten within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

  2  And he had in his hand a little ^abook open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,

  6  Q. What are we to understand by the book which John saw, which was sealed on the back with seven seals?

A. We are to understand that it contains the revealed will, mysteries, and the works of God; the hidden things of his economy concerning this earth during the seven thousand years of its continuance, or its temporal existence.

  11  And they came down and went forth upon the face of the earth; and the first came and stood before my father, and gave unto him a ^bbook, and bade him that he should read.

  14  Q. What are we to understand by the little book which was ^aeaten by John, as mentioned in the 10th chapter of Revelation?

A. We are to understand that it was a mission, and an ordinance, for him to gather the tribes of Israel; behold, this is Elias, who, as it is written, must come and restore all things.
