1  When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he ^aoffended in Baal, he died.

  16  And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served ^dBaal.

  13  And I will visit upon her the days of ^aBaalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the Lord.
