8  And might not be as their afathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.

5  For behold, the Lord hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep. For behold, ye have closed your eyes, and ye have brejected the prophets; and your rulers, and the seers hath he covered because of your iniquity.

14  But behold, the Jews were a stiffnecked people; and they despised the words of plainness, and dkilled the prophets, and sought for things that they could not understand. Wherefore, because of their blindness, which blindness came by looking beyond the mark, they must needs fall; for God hath taken away his plainness from them, and delivered unto them many things which they cannot understand, because they desired it. And because they desired it God hath done it, that they may stumble.

36  For they akilled the prophets, and them that were sent unto them; and they have shed innocent blood, which crieth from the ground against them.
