26  And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.

  4  And then began these men to ^acall upon the name of the Lord, and the Lord blessed them;

  9  Therefore, as the soul could never die, and the fall had brought upon all mankind a spiritual ^bdeath as well as a temporal, that is, they were cut off from the presence of the Lord, it was expedient that mankind should be reclaimed from this spiritual death.

  30  And they began from that time forth to call on his name; therefore God ^aconversed with men, and made known unto them the plan of redemption, which had been prepared from the foundation of the world; and this he made known unto them according to their faith and repentance and their holy works.
